Tithing
When you tithe, you’re trusting God with your finances.
Tithing is a biblical principle. God calls us to give the first 10% of our income back to Him. We’ve seen God provide abundantly in our church, and we know He will provide abundantly for you and your family when you put Him first in your finances. In fact, it’s the one area in the Bible where God tells you to test Him. “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” Malachi 3:10 NIV
Generosity: It’s impossible to out-give God, but you’ll never regret trying
God gives us good things we don’t deserve and could never earn, like grace and forgiveness. He gave the ultimate gift, His son, for our sins. When you hear us talk about living generously we mean it. We joyfully give our time, treasure and talent to God. He created you with a generous spirit. We want to help you embrace it by giving beyond your tithe with an offering to one of these causes.
Where Does it Go?
Community Outreach
Every person matters! We don’t just say it, we believe it. We are committed to investing in our community consistently.
We partner with and support our local homeless shelters, and Harvest Ministries which provides assistance to those experiencing food insecurity.
We provide resources to Missouri Avenue and Nancy Lopez Elementary. School Supplies, hygiene items, clothing, and gifts for teacher appreciation days.
Through our Church on the Street initiative we give care kits containing food, hygiene items, socks and shoes. In colder months in addition to care kits we give coats, gloves, beanies, and blankets to those experiencing homelessness in our community.
Events like Community Block parties, Fall Festival in partnership with our city, and National Day of Prayer.
World Missions
Waymaker Church supports missionaries monthly in Africa, the Middle East, South America, Israel, and Vanuatu (South Pacific Ocean). Convoy of Hope Feed One (providing meals and essential nutrients to more than 250,000 kids daily in underdeveloped nations).
US Missions
Urban Outreach Ministries in Phoenix and East St. Louis providing ministry to drug addicts and prostitutes. Convoy of Hope Rural Compassion which empowers churches through resources and training to minister to their cities. Church Rescue where Pastors receive needed resources and coaching to help their churches thrive.
